What is an Auto Attendant
This service is given many names including Auto Attendant, Digital Assistant or IVR (Interactive Voice Response) but essentially it is a menu system that enables the caller to choose from a number of different options to get directly to the department they want.
The option they choose determines where their call is sent and the most common options are sales, service or support and accounts. One of the best ways of understanding how this works is using a Hosted PBX Call Flow Diagram and we have included some different scenarios below.
